Ok listen up, this is a last minute plea. I know most of you care about the U.S. and I know many of you, like myself are anti-war and don't want to be controlled by big-brother. So, tomorrow before you vote please, please, please consider the impact of your choice. We don't want to fuck ourselves over the way we did in 2004 and then complain about it in 2011.

If you read this site: http://knowbeforeyouvote.com/ maybe hopefully you will become motivated to vote for the only candidate who truly cares enough about U.S. citizens to pull us out of this expensive, unnecessary war and that candidate is Dr. Ron Paul. Also remember that Paul is the ONLY candidate who is 100% against special treatment for illegal aliens who- at 12 million and counting- consume a vast amount of not only our resources and jobs but on top of that they DO NOT pay federal taxes, which costs legal citizens like you and me BILLIONS more each year.

Rest in peace Heath Ledger, you were one of the only actors that I actually liked and admired.

It's so sad what happened, a true talent was lost.

The thing that bothers me about this whole situation is the speculation on the part of the media. Everyone is jumping to conclusions that either he committed suicide or was doing drugs or something. Like lets wait to see what the autopsy says people. Also the media swarmed outside of his apartment like vultures, filming his body being wheeled out is utterly disgusting and so disrespectful.

The media and the paparazzi are so obsessed with every little detail. I think it's really unnecessary the way they hover over a situation like this. There are paparazzi shots of his family at their home and it is so uncalled for. They are not stars, they are just normal people who live in Australia, not in the 'Hollywood' limelight. For heavens sake they are trying to grieve and there the vultures are swarming their property waiting to capture someone crying or distraught.. Really the media has no respect anymore.

I think we should all boycott the celebrity tabloid magazines. I think this needs to be stopped. I for one haven't bought a celebrity tabloid magazine in months. I think we are so celebrity crazed in this culture that it clouds our judgment. I never go to perez hilton.com because not only is he a complete bullshitter but he is not a nice person. We don't need to know how many times Britney Spears changed her shoes during the day, do we? Most Americans don't even know the name of their own senator, which is very sad.

When you wake up everyday take the time to realize how fucked up our country and our world really is. The gap between rich and poor in America is growing. Our economy is in the shitter- a carton of milk will be $6 next month. Any little money Clinton saved, Bush fucking spent. We are now printing money out of thin air and are BILLIONS of dollars in the hole. WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE!!

This is our world and if we don't do something to help the situation we are in big trouble.

CParrella07 [11:44 A.M.]: so am i
CParrella07 [11:44 A.M.]: they tell you one thing and us another thing
vonhintwon [11:44 A.M.]: i dont even care anymore
CParrella07 [11:45 A.M.]: thats why you gotta get out now
CParrella07 [11:45 A.M.]: before you cant get free of the chains

CParrella07 [11:46 A.M.]: yeah and whomever we elect will continue to lie
CParrella07 [11:46 A.M.]: its like so fucked up. we have shitty shitty shitty choices
vonhintwon [11:47 A.M.]: exactly all people want is an end to this war and whomever offer that end will win
CParrella07 [11:47 A.M.]: dont you want it to end?
vonhintwon [11:47 A.M.]: of course i do
vonhintwon [11:47 A.M.]: but not if we dont win
CParrella07 [11:47 A.M.]: how are we supposed to win if there are no clear definitions of winning and losing?
CParrella07 [11:47 A.M.]: what is losing to you?
vonhintwon [11:48 A.M.]: because if we pull out now all the lives lost will be in vain
vonhintwon [11:48 A.M.]: but you are right there is no winning or losing
CParrella07 [11:48 A.M.]: but i think we lost sight of what we are fighting for
vonhintwon [11:48 A.M.]: because we are fighting a belief
CParrella07 [11:49 A.M.]: i feel like they are lying to us and it has nothing to do with finding osama and restoring peace and all that bs
vonhintwon [11:49 A.M.]: and there will be generations of that
CParrella07 [11:49 A.M.]: it cant be accomplished
vonhintwon [11:49 A.M.]: exactly
CParrella07 [11:49 A.M.]: they are bred to hate us, not all of them but most of them
vonhintwon [11:49 A.M.]: and this belief will go on forever whether we like it or not
CParrella07 [11:50 A.M.]: so why did we even go there
vonhintwon [11:50 A.M.]: i dont even know
vonhintwon [11:50 A.M.]: its not like when you join they explain it all to you
CParrella07 [11:50 A.M.]: they dont tell you what you are fighting for?
vonhintwon [11:51 A.M.]: nope you are fighting to stay alive and keep your fellow soldiers alive
CParrella07 [11:51 A.M.]: well thats the most important thing of course
CParrella07 [11:51 A.M.]: but i wish you guys were not there
CParrella07 [11:51 A.M.]: its not our business to be there
vonhintwon [11:52 A.M.]: but when you see some of the stuff here you want to help these people
CParrella07 [11:52 A.M.]: do you think it can really ever be stopped
vonhintwon [11:52 A.M.]: its crazy ill explain it to you when i get home

everyday i struggle with wanting to delete this live journal and eventually sign up for buzznet.
the internet is so boring for some reason..i've been trying to stay away of course that never works because i work online all damn day- i'm a writer so that's all i do duh.

life is good.

got back from the bahamas with tom last week. it was amazingggg, it was warm and sunny every day.
the people are laid back, chill and nice for the most part.

last weekend was lauren's bday party, it was fun.
i never go out in the city anymore because i'm always working and going to class in manhattan so the last thing i want to do is spend more time in the city and have to take the train another time.
i'm lazy but i guess its ok to push yourself a little and go out with your friends every once in a while.
i hate when guys hit on me and know i have a bf, like don't ask to take my picture, it's rude and you're nasty.

all i listen to is 80's hair metal and i try to incorporate it into my every day style as much as i can.
i like being different, i don't like fitting into a mold.
i love when my friends stuck up jersey friends give me dirty looks because i am different from them, because i dont have blonde hair, fake tans and spend daddys money.

this guy who asked me to be his girlfriend (as a joke, but still) three years ago is on mtv now and is on tour with a very big band. i could kick myself in the ass!

i can't stop regretting that one, i let him slip right through, who would've known he'd be the "next big thing"
i need to start taking people for what they are worth to me and start giving back what i get.

no more second chances.

i'm avoiding work and blabbering now.

i want to go back

today after work i'm going shopping at Herald Square with candice.
its 13 degrees out today. sooo cold i'm wearing my fingerless gloves right now.

i'm reading this awesome book about greenwich village called the greenwich village reader. burroughs, ginsberg, henry james, o'hara, kerouac, poe, cummings, t.s. eliot. all the literary geniuses hung out there. makes me not want to leave nyc ever. did you know they used to use the park as a hanging site and potters field for people who were struck with the plague!? ah.

i'm talking to vinny online right now.
i asked him if his new years resolution was to leave the army.

life got less and more complicated for me in 2008.

So I got a new dog he is soooo cute, he's a shitzu and I know people think that's a frilly foofy dog but he is a little fighter and a tough guy. Tom named him Gizmo after the movie Gremlins. I got him about 2 months ago someone gave him to us because they were going to put him to sleep because they couldn't take care of him anymore :( people are so cruel. He is mine now and I will take good care of him. He's a little guy he's only 1 and he's still teething so he's always biting my hands it's incredibly annoying but I love him. Sometimes he looks like a fluffy little bunny rabbit especially after I give him a bath haha.

Did you know over 40 million people in the U.S. can not afford health care?

Even though life expectancy has increased, a majority of Americans still do not have access to health care, which means they go without drugs, basic dental treatment, and eye care. These recent statistics scare me a bit. It's absolutely essential for American's to receive adequate health care.

Do you think the government should provide its citizens with free or low cost health care?

friend is a funny word that people like to throw around a lot. don't bother me and say you're my friend if you really are not. real friends are always 100% there for me through anything. i don't need any more fraudulent faux friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny Rotten has just put the final nail in the Sex Pistols coffin. OMG. He is not only embarrassing himself but the entire history of the Sex Pistols and punk rock. OMG, washed up bloody mess on Jay Leno right now. I feel so sorry for him. If you get a chance you have to you tube it. He still thinks he is punk rock dressed in black dress pants and a button up shirt. WHYYYYYY? LET A SLEEPING DOG LIE/DIE whatever. Just stop. You're ruining the Sex Pistols image. it's a car crash you can't take your eyes off of hahaha.

my dream

Last night I had a dream that I was Angelina and Brad's babysitter. In this dream we were on a boat in like the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and a storm came. It was me and the four kids inside the cabin and Brad and Angelina were somewhere out on the deck. So anyway the storm comes and the fucking boat starts to rock and the water is like going up onto the boat, it was a full fledged storm. So I grabbed baby Shiloh of course and I'm holding her haha I remember thinking how cute she was and that I wanted to pinch her cheeks. Anyway I told the other kids to sit down and put their life jackets on Zahara is giving me an attitude! She is like no I'm not listening to you and she wouldn't put the jacket on and I yelled at her and then Shiloh threw up on my white t-shirt and it was all orange and it smelled really bad. In my dream I could actually smell the vomit it was gross. Then Brad came in and took Shiloh and apologized that she threw up on me and he was trying to wipe it off and he said, what do you expect she's just a baby. But then I woke up, I was hoping me and Brad would have a boat side tryst sans Angelina but no. Does this dream mean I'm obsessed with Angelina and baby Shiloh? hahah

I want to go back to 1996 and marry Leonardo Dicaprio from Romeo & Juliet. So freaking cuteeeeee I can't even.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie, I can watch it 50 times in one day. I cry every time at the end when Juliet is pseudo dead but then she wakes up and Romeo kills himself and is in the process of dying and all the candles are lit and the music is like going and then she sees him dead and shoots herself in the head, lol sad. Except Claire Danes fucking ruins Juliet for me. UGH hate her.

Van Halen Nov. 3 at Continental. I'm going.... ah I am so psyched!

I have so much school work and I avoid it at all costs until the night before it's due.

Ugh 100 pages of reading every night makes all the shit I read feel like one big blob of information. I can never retain any of it and I wind up reading it for nothing.

Am I the only person in the world who DOESN'T watch the Hills? Those girls are so dumb.

Taylor Hanson is still hot, pornstache and all. haha.

I love NY?

  • Sep. 21st, 2007 at 7:25 PM
marilyn
I do, I love NY but with love there comes hate and here are the things that lately have disgusted me to the point of nauseam.

The F train: I seriously hate the F train. Every time I'm on it something weird happens. There are always sketchy people on there either singing to themselves, drinking liquor or acting plain crazy. Today there was this normal looking girl; normal in my words means she’s on the F train and doesn’t look like a straight up crack head. Anyway she's pulling strands of her hair out of her head from all parts of her scalp. She was just pulling out one strand at a time, looking at it and throwing it on the floor. Like WHY?

"Men": men on the train who don't get up for women with bags and kids. Like what is with men? Have they lost all of their brain cells? Do they have morals? Were they raised in the streets? This applies to all men too, not just young ones. It's the old guys too who don't give up their seats for women with children. Like have some compassion dude. If you see a women with a kid and an armful of plastic bags give up your seat, be a man seriously.

Signs in Spanish on the subway: Okay, I understand that we have a lot of illegal immigrants in NY who speak Spanish but I am an American citizen who speaks English, and since this is America I kind of want to know what the fucking signs above my head say. Sorry if I didn't study Spanish in school and I can't read it.

Cops: I have a huge hatred for cops because I think they are pricks. Why can they pass the red light and talk on cell phones while driving? What makes them above the law? Oh nothing cause last time I checked cops have to obey the same laws as the rest of the citizens in this country do. They are never in the right place at the right time; they are never there to give people tickets when they deserve tickets. They are only there to bust balls of people who are driving 20 miles over the speed limit. They are a complete waste of our state's budget. They do nothing but talk to one another, check out girls and eat. Honestly when was the last time you saw a cop do something important that made you go wow that cop is doing his job?

People who don't pick up their dog shit in and around Washington Square Park: ok if you have a dog I think you should take the responsibility of picking up the shit excreted from said dog. I don't know what makes people think it is perfectly ok to leave a pile of dog shit in the middle of the street and walk away. What seems normal about that? They must be joking. I don't want to have to dodge piles of a dog's diarrhea while I am rushing to class. It's disgusting, it's rude and it's vile. This should be an offense punishable by jail time. I'm not even kidding, I wish that people who didn't pick up their dog shit could go to jail for a month. It's gross, it's makes the city look like trash. It's absolutely uncalled for.

Tourists who block the middle of the street: Ok I have sympathy for tourists cause when I went to Italy I was a tourist. Tourists don't bother me they are usually nice and friendly and I'm always nice to them. I even offer help and assistance. But seriously can you go to the corner with your big map to look for Broadway; you are blocking the flow of street traffic!

Girls in my school: Ok stop trying to be Mary Kate Olsen, you look ridiculous in your pseudo-Bohemian gear. Stop talking loud in the elevator to your friends so everyone can hear how *wasssssted* you were at x, y, z hipster club. It really does not make you look cool. Other people in the elevator do not care, save this conversation for your pot- smoking dorm life. And lose the Valley girl accent, you go to NYU we know you're not dumb.

Well I know there is probably a lot of things I'm forgetting to say but I don't want to be pessimistic about everything all at once. I'll save the rest of my cynicism for the next time something annoys me to the point that I need to rant like this. haha.

Anyway I gotta go, tomorrow I'm going to see Hanson in Poughkeepsie. God I really think I've spent close to $10,000 on Hanson since 1997, it's disguisting I know. Well I hope Taylor Hanson's chest hair is out in full force tomorrow night hahaha.

e.e. cummings.
